How to connect to Jesus.
In your personal opinion, what do you think it takes for a person to get to heaven and have eternal life?
May I share with you how the Bible answers that question?
There is a word that can be used to answer that question. It is FAITH. Each letter gives you an understanding of the gospel.
F-is for Forgiveness
We cannot have eternal life and heaven without God’s forgiveness.
Romans 3:23 “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
God’s forgiveness is provided by the work of Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 1:7 “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our sins, according to the riches of His grace.”
A - is for Available
God’s forgiveness is available. It is –
AVAILABLE FOR ALL.
John 3:16 “God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”
God’s forgiveness is available …
BUT IT IS NOT AUTOMATIC.
Jesus says in Matthew 7:21, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven.”
I - is for Impossible
It is impossible for God to allow sin into heaven.
GOD IS –
“God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
“For judgment is without mercy.” James 2:13a
MAN IS SINFUL.
Romans 3:23 “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
So how can a sinful person have eternal life and enter heaven?
T - is for Turn
If you were going down the road and someone asked you to turn, what would he or she be asking you to do? (Change directions. Right?)
Turn means repent.
TURN away from something - sin and self.
Luke 13:3 “Unless you repent, you will all perish as well!”
TURN to Someone – Trust Christ only.
Jesus alone as your Savior and Lord.
(The Bible tells us that) “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He was raised from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4
The Bible also states. “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
Jesus states in John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
H - is for Heaven
Heaven is eternal life.
Heaven is Here.
Jesus puts it this way: “I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.'” John 10:10b
Heaven is HEREAFTER
Jesus also states: “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:3
H can also stand for HOW.
How can a person have God’s forgiveness, eternal life, and heaven, and Jesus as personal Savior and Lord?
Answer
FAITH can also stand for Forsaking All I Trust Him.
Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Invitation
Understanding what has been shared, would you like to receive this forgiveness by repenting or turning from your sin and trusting in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus to count for you?
You must receive Him as Lord and Savior.
It is not a magical prayer that saves you. However, we are to call on the name of the Lord to be saved.
Will you read through the prayer below and see if this is what you want to say to Jesus?
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner and need a Savior. I believe that you died on the cross to pay for my sins, you were buried, and you were raised from the dead to give me your righteousness. Will you please forgive me for my sins and help me to turn from them. Jesus, will you come into my heart and save me from my sins and be my Lord and Savior and help me follow you from this day forward?
Thank you for dying for me. Thank you for forgiving me. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
If this sounds like what you want to say to Jesus, go back through the prayer and pay it to Jesus.
If Jesus saved you today, will you please fill out the form below and let us know? Thank you.
